Basic Criteria
Candidates should be early in their career but have demonstrated significant experience at the postdoctoral level and be widely recognized as having potential for exceptional scholarship, breadth, innovation, and leadership with a clear potential to play an important role in their field as a member of the faculty or staff of prominent research institutions, including SLAC.

This scientist has the potential for innovation, growth, and the ability to create new opportunities as their career develops.
Submission Information
The candidate's research plan should:
- Encompass one or more areas within the science program at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, and
- Describe how the proposed research will uniquely benefit from the opportunity to conduct research at SLAC
- Demonstrate alignment with the SLAC mission and values.
Applications generally benefit from making an extra effort to prepare the research plan to incorporate a good understanding of the capabilities and facilities at SLAC.
Panofsky Fellowship Candidates must submit the following documentation with their application.

- A curriculum vitae
- Publications list
